Upcoming News:

Outreach
CSA is nothing without its amazing people! The Outreach Committee works closely with the VP for Outreach to do year round recruiting of even more exciting individuals. As a member you can help plan events to entice new CSA'ers or even spread the CSA mission across campus by showing UT what we do!

Please contact Megan Piel to get involved in Outreach.

 Intramural Sports
Like sports, competition, and comradely?  Then maybe you would be interested in being an intramural chair. Responsibilities include getting teams together for various intramural sports and kicking some booty.

Questions about this commitment? Please contact Regina Samboa or Joanna Novatny to find out more.

 Newman Noise
Have you ever wanted to write and publish something? Find out how to be on the Committee that will write articles for CSA members to read. Article topics and ideas are open: movie reviews, reflections from retreats, summaries and commentaries of events, surveys, about the church, the saints, role models, other religions, prayers, other issues, whatever you like. Here is your chance to share your perpective and educate others.

 Publicity
This group helps promote and advertise CSAs events. You can actively be a part of this group by being an event photographer, reading announcements at Masses, working on the scrapbook, designing and creating flyers, and helping the committees advertise for events.

If you are interested in any of these activities, please contact Lucy Pozek!

Homecoming
Homecoming is U of Toledo's longest tradition, since back in 1923. It is now a week full of events and excitement. As a member of this committee, you can help keep CSA part of this great tradition by working on the float, planning an event for campus sponsored by CSA, or making sure CSA members know what kind of things are going on campus. The possibilities are endless!

 OSOA (Outstanding Student Organization Award)
Working closely with the President, this lovely individual keeps track of events on campus that involve OSOA points and sees that CSA is represented at these events.  Near the end of the year this chair will help write the OSOA report.

If you are interested in working with the President email timothy.dubois@rockets.utoledo.edu

 Relay For Life
The University of Toledo Relay For Life is an event that takes place every fall to raise money for cancer research and awareness. It is an affiliate of the American Cancer Society, and is an overnight event that lasts for 16 hours. The organization Colleges Against Cancer, which puts on Relay For Life is a student -based organization and plans the event. All money raised for the event is donated to the American Cancer Society.

 Dance Marathon
The University of Toledo Dance Marathon is a non-profit, student-run organization that plans and executes a 16-hour marathon in which hundreds of students dance, without sleeping or sitting, to raise funds for rehabilitation programs at St Vincent hospital in Toledo. Held at the Student Recreational Center on The University of Toledo's beautiful campus, Dance Marathon hosts hundreds of spectators each year, including the families and children that benefit from DM's proceeds.

If you are interested in attending or helping plan Dance Marathon for CSA contact McKenzie Blair at mckenzie.blair@rockets.utoledo.edu

Songfest
Do you have an interest in singing or dancing?  Well, try doing both at the same time!  Every spring UT's Fraternities, Sororities and Co-ed organizations face-off against other respective groups.  Performing a short song and dance routine comprised of blurbs of different songs, chosen to meet the year's theme, CSA puts on a great show.

If you are interested in dancing and singing in Songfest contact Patrick McCarty at patrick.mccarty@rockets.utoledo.edu

 Cardboard City
You’ve probably seen a homeless person sleeping in a box on the sidewalk, but have you ever seen students sleeping in cardboard boxes on campus?  Help CSA get involved in raising awareness about homelessness the current facts and statistics, and how we as regular community members can aide in improving the situation.
